Automated Trading Strategy

Spark is a program trading software. It allows you to set up various strategies to trade automatically.

Currently, we have 4 Automated Trading Strategies.

  • Barrier
    • Automatically place a BUY order if market price > X at price X + Y (e.g. BUY 1 HSIH6 at 19205 if Price > 19200)
    • Automatically place a BUY order if market price < X at Price X - Y (e.g. BUY 1 HSIH6 at 19190 if Price < 19200, and cancel order if not filled in 15 seconds.  It is useful for capturing any fake drop below support level)
    • Automatically place a SELL order if market price > X at price X + Y (e.g. SELL 1 HSIH6 at 19205 if Price > 19200 and cancel order if not filled in 15 seconds.  It is useful for capturing any fake break above resistance level)
    • Automatically place a SELL order if market price < X at Price X - Y (e.g. SELL 1 HSIH6 at 19190 if Price < 19200 ). Click here for details.
  • Ridge
    • If market price > H, place a BUY order at H + Y (Stop Loss set at M) or if market price < L, place a SELL order at L - Y (Stop Loss set at M);
      • It is useful if you believe the market is range bound between H and L, once broken through either level, the market will move quickly in that direction.
    • Or, If market price > H, place a BUY order at H + Y (Stop Loss set at L) or if market price < L, place a SELL order at L - Y (Stop Loss set at H);  Click here for details.
  • Trend
    • This strategy compares each trade’s price to the current Bid and Ask price. If the price is >= ASK price, it is considered RISE signal. If the price is <= Bid, it is considered a FALL signal.  The strategy uses these signals to sense any Buy or Sell trend in the market and automatically place a BUY or SELL order for you accordingly.  Click here for details.
  • Technical Analysis Composite
    • This strategy gives you the power of many technical indicators combined. You can choose a few technical indicators from our library and specify each’s parameters.  When all of these technical indicators reach your pre-defined levels, a Buy or Sell order will be triggered.
We are constantly adding new technical indicators to our library. The current ones include:
    • SMA – Simple Moving Average
    • EMA – Exponential Moving Averages
    • RSI – Relative Strength Index
    • MACD – Moving Average Convergence Divergence
    • Simple Field for any given number of periods (second or minute):
      • Open
      • High
      • Low
      • Close
      • Volume
      • Up Volume (Volume of trade with price higher than LAST PRICE)
      • Down Volume (Volume of trade with price lower than LAST PRICE)
      • Net Up Volume ( Up Volume – Down Volume)
      • Bought Volume (Volume of trade with price >= Last ASK)
      • Sold Volume (Volume of trade with price <= Last BID)
      • Net Bought Volume ( Bought Volume – Sold Volume)
      • Tick Count (the number of trades, not number of contracts traded)
      • With the above fields, you can choose one of the following formulas to calculate the period’s value:
        • Last Value
        • First Value
        • Minimum
        • Maximum
        • Simple Average  :  Sum(Field Value) / N, N is the number of periods
        • Weighted Average : Sum(Fieldl Value * Volume) / Sum(Volume)
        • Sum  : Sum(Field Value)
        • Cumulation  : Cumulation of the Field Value from the very first period up to the current period, e.g. cumulation of Volume will give up the total turnover of the day at that moment
    • By defining a combination of these technical indicators, you can create very complex auto trade strategies. Click here for details.

We will continue to add more strategies to the software. In future, we will also let you write your own strategies with a simple script language.
